Description:Comparison of STR-data has revealed, that the STR-profile of U-343 MGa cells stored at CLS is identical to GOS-3 described by DSMZ, Braunschweig. We aim to clarify this problem as soon as possible.
Culture Medium:Minimum essential medium Eagle with 2 mM L-glutamine and Earle's BSS adjusted to contain 1.5 g/L sodium bicarbonate, 0.1 mM non-essential amino acids, and 1.0 mM sodium pyruvate, 90%; fetal bovine serum, 10%
Subculturing:Remove medium, rinse with fresh 0.025% trypsin solution, remove trypsin and let the culture sit at 37°C until the cells detach. Add fresh medium, aspirate and dispense into new flasks. Subculture every 3 to 5 days.
When using Accutase for detachment, the cells will come off the substrate within 10min at 37°C.
