Description:The cells produce HBsAg. At present, there is no evidence that this cell line produces infectious Hepatitis B virus.
Culture Medium:DMEM medium supplemented with 2 mM Glutamine and 10% foetal bovine serum.
Subculturing:Remove medium from sub-confluent cultures, add fresh 0.25% trypsin for 2 to 3 minutes, remove trypsin and let the culture sit at 37°C until the cells detach. Add fresh medium and dispense into new flasks.
Split Ratio:A ratio of 1:4 is recommended; seeding density 2-3x104 cells/cm2.
