| Designation: | TM791 |
| Depositor: | Klein |
| Organism: | Homo sapiens (human) |
| Gender: | Female |
| Tissue: | (Bone) |
| Celltype: | (Osteosarcoma) |
| Growth Properties: | Monolayer |
| Description: | Authentication of this cell line has revealed that the STR profile of TM791 is almost identical to HeLa and KB. Thus, the origin of this cell line remains unclear. |
| Culture Medium: | DMEM:Ham's F12 medium supplemented with 2 mM L-glutamine and 10% heat-inactivated horse serum |
| Subculturing: | Remove medium, add fresh 0.025% trypsin, 0.02% EDTA solution for 1 to 2 minutes, remove trypsin and let the culture sit at room temperature (or at 37°C) until the cells detach (about 10 minutes). Add fresh medium, aspirate and dispense into new flasks. |
| Split Ratio: | A ratio of 1:3 to 1:5 is recommended |
| Fluid Renewal: | 1-2 times weekly |
| Freeze Medium: | CM-1 (Cell Lines Service) |
| Sterility: | Tests for mycoplasma(PCR, DAPI), bacteria and fungi (fluoresence) were negative. |
