Description:Both granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) and granulocyte- macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) support the short term and long term growth of MV4-11 cells and act synergistically to stimulate growth of the cells. The cells are dependent upon GM-CSF for long term growth.
Culture Medium:Iscove's modified Dulbecco's medium supplemented with 4 mM L-glutamine and 10% fetal bovine serum. Serum-free conditions: Iscove's modified Dulbecco's medium supplemented with 4 mM L-glutamine, 5 µg/ml insulin, 5 µg/ml transferring and 10% KMG-2 (or 5 ng/ml GM-CSF recombinant).
Subculturing:Subculture by diluting an aliquot of the cell suspension in fresh medium inside a new cell culture flask. Start cultures at 2 x 105 cells/ml and maintain between 1 x 105 and 1 x 106 cells/ml.
