| Description: | The line was established from cells in the pleural fluid of a patient with small cell carcinoma of the lung. The patient had previously been treated with cytoxan, vincristine, methotrexate and radiation therapy. The cells express HLA class I and class II antigens. |
| Culture Medium: | RPMI 1640 medium supplemented with L- glutamine and 10% (heat-inactivated) fetal bovine serum. |
| Subculturing: | Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 10 exp5 cells/ml and maintain between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 cells/ml. Cell counts are approximate since the cells grow in aggregates. |
