Description:The Walker cell line has been established from the Walker 256 rat tumor thas has been maintained in vivo for over 60 years.
Culture Medium:Medium 199 or RPMI 1640 medium, supplemented with 2 mM L-glutamine and 5-10% fetal bovine serum.
Subculturing:Dilute in fresh medium to approx. 5x104 cells/ml
Fluid Renewal:2 times weekly
Freeze Medium:CM-5 (CLS order no. 800525-25ml or 800550-50ml)
Sterility:Tests for mycoplasma, bacteria and fungi were negative
Biosafety Level:1
Tumorigenic:yes, in Cörli rats
